Safely commuting in your city

We all travel for various reasons. Some are requirements, some are for leisurely activities. Regardless of your reasoning, being safe on the roadways is the top priority for many motorists and their families.

Staying ahead, and keeping up with car trends and newer technology can help reduce our risk of accidents while on the road. Advancements like lane changing assistance, backup cameras, and even newer Tesla models that can commute themselves are all positive advancements that better our traveling capabilities.

Underlying causes

Studying the impacts that different age categories have on our roadways is important not only for our well being, but for helping to educate our family and peers. Understanding the major age categories that are the leading cause of roadway occurrences can help us to become more alert, and conscientious drivers.

Most of us assume that younger, less experienced drivers are the root of the large portion of roadway disturbances. In fact, this is wrong. In a recent study in Denver, it was revealed the age group of 21 to 34 were more problematic and caused a higher number of accidents than their younger age category.

Its also important to study the causes. Older individuals are not the only category of people that cause negligent driving accidents. In fact, 21 to 34 year olds entailed the largest number of reckless and negligent driving accidents in the city of Denver, between 2010 and 2014.

Another leading cause of accidents is the over consumption of alcohol before getting behind the wheel. Surprisingly, those aged 15 to 20 years of age caused more accidents because of alcohol consumption, than those aged 50 to 64 years of age.

What are some of the causes of disturbances on the roadways in your city or town? It's important to stay abreast the current trends when it comes to understanding the causes behind automobile accidents in your area
